Wainstock, TUCC Associate Director, has also served
as consultant to several national maternal and child health
(MCH) projects, including a leadership institute for MCH state
staff, families working with public programs to implement child
health expansions and measure and monitor MCH state programs.
She has directed national MCH projects, provided technical assistance
for the implementation of early intervention legislation in
California, directed discharge planning and follow-up from pediatrics
and neonatal hospital units, facilitated parenting education
classes and groups, and placed and supervised children in foster
homes and institutions. Lois helped to plan the conversion to
Medicaid managed care for children with special health care
needs in Los Angeles County and served on a wide variety of
local, regional and national planning committees. She is currently
active in the American Public Health Association, Health Care
for All Children's Health Access Coalition in Massachusetts,
the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs and the
Massachusetts Public Health Association; she has also served
on national advisory boards and planning process as well as
peer review panels for child and family health, education and
early intervention service systems. She serves on the Senior
Policy Council for New
England SERVE. Her current expertise includes the development
of policy and programs for children and families, family/consumer
participation in program and policy development and performance
monitoring for public maternal and child health programs. |
