STUDENT PROJECT
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Tufts
University Center for Children is an interdisciplinary, cross-school
project of the Provost's office. The Center focuses the research,
teaching, and advocacy resources of the University to improve
the lives of children, youth and their families in the nation
and around the world.
Tufts
University Center for Children is seeking proposals from undergraduate
and graduate students for projects on children or youth. Approximately
5-8 project proposals will be chosen to receive awards ranging
from $500.00 - $1,500.00. Projects can serve as a senior thesis
or graduate student project, if appropriately approved.

FOR PROPOSALS: NOVEMBER 1, 2002
ANNOUNCEMENT OF AWARD: DECEMBER 1, 2002
DEADLINE
FOR PROJECT COMPLETION: APRIL 28, 2003

Project
Criteria
|
·
|
Projects
must have some relevance to children or youth. Interdisciplinary
proposals are encouraged. |
|

|
Projects
must have an end-product that goes beyond what would normally
be done in a regular course. The format is open; acceptable
end-products include research reports, surveys, video,
visual/art projects, and community-oriented endeavors. |

Students
must have a faculty advisor supervising their project. |
|
·
|
Students
must submit a proposed budget and timeline for completion,
as well as a basic plan/strategy for conducting the project. |
